JESPER'S LAZY SUNDAY IN JUNE
June 2006
I arrived to find all sorts of preparations had
been made in Jesper's kitchen on a warm, pleasant Sunday in early June.
We opened a bottle of the delicious Vietti 2005
Arneis.
Jesper put the tomatoes on the grill...
He then sautéed some garlic...
I'm sure the neighbors and anybody within a mile down wind from us could get a
whiff of the wonderful perfume!
He then put the mussels into the pan...
The Oyster Bay New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc was used to "bathe" the
mussels and this made for a lovely combination.
We had been sipping a Stirn 2002 Muscat d'Alsace, a sensational wine for warm
weather drinking.
Little Dane enjoys mussels as his daddy tends the grill.
Meanwhile, Alanna was busy with the Korean noodles.
Emma.
Amy, with her telescoping arm, is never far from an open
bottle of wine.
Alanna then took on her father in a card game.
She's a wiz at various card games!
We were then treated to a puppet show.
Alanna then showed off her skills jumping rope...
After four or five hours of this excitement, I simply had to go home and snooze.
I was worn out!
