Bob went looking for mushrooms and, fun guy that he is, found a few.
These are "The Prince" Mushrooms, Agaricus Augustus.
We started with
some fish and a spicy mixture of onions and peppers. A couple of
Vermentino wines from Italia accompanied. The 2000 vintage of Antinori's
was the more refreshing wine, though it was not fantabulous. Good, though.
Bob roasted a capon to go with his wild mushrooms.
The mushrooms were then cooked in the roasting pan, atop the stove.
We opened a couple of Spanish reds, one from the Priorat area and the other from
Costers del Segre. Bob was busy carving the chicken and arranging the
Kitchen Magic Chez Bob.
