Hospitality a la Fitz-Jensen
Amy & Jesper hosted an informal Sunday gathering at their place in Santa
Twelve year old Brian Weisl joined in for the party. Brian is 6'4" at
Clementine and Alanna.
Dane is a master of the slide.
I thought Clementine ought to be in movies or advertising.
Whisper was busy in the kitchen whipping up some sort of Chicken dish with Vol
Amy is a big fan of candles.
Dane was hungry.
So was Alanna.
As was Brian.
The Pojer e Sandri 2001 Besler Blanck was
perfect partnered with this dish.
The Chef proposes a toast.
One of the guests thought she could sneak in to dinner
without being noticed.
The main plate was roasted lamb with homemade pasta and mushrooms. A
couple of Iberian Peninsula wines were opened. The 2002 Palacios
"Finca Dofi" was pleasant, but disappointing given its lofty
pricing. It was washed out compared to previous vintages.
Meanwhile, the 1999 Quinta da Leda from Portugal's Douro valley, was a much more
intense and complex wine.
Cheeses and fruit arrived at the table shortly after the main course.

Uncle Gerald brought some gifts for the kids and Alanna and Clementine wasted no
time in a painting project.

Whisper then brought out a chocolate cake.
Dane demonstrates a fork is not required for this project.
