Saint Patrick's Day Fest
The Irish flags welcomed guests to this annual party...
When we arrived, John was outside tending to
the various slabs of corned beef.
The "secret" is in boiling them for an appropriate amount of time and
then giving them a bit of time in the Weber Kettle to acquire a mildly smoky
"Don't tell everyone the secret!"
Meanwhile, inside people were having a sip of wine and some nibbles.
Apparently one of the leprechauns pinched Marilyn.
Jamaica and her pop, Gary.
John explains the intricacies of cooking cabbage.
"My job tonight," explains this charming leprechaun, "is to eat
corned beef and maybe even some cabbage."
Clever kitchen artist Leslie McQuaide substituted four leaf clovers for
John still has all ten fingers at this point.
"Okay! Everyone help yourself!"
Finally the chef can have a sip of wine!
"There's heavy traffic near the carrots and potatoes and a small
accident over by the mustards. No tie-ups at the wine table,
Jamaican me crazy...!
...Crazy for Ridge Zinfandel!
Meanwhile, I think Marilyn sat on a leprechaun.
Marilyn realizes she's not drinking a Ridge wine.
