MORE "CLASSIC" WINE
INDUSTRY ART WORK

From the early 1900s, an old Italian-Swiss Colony ad for
its "Tipo" wine. I think they actually called the wine
"Chianti," though many of the Italians were from Piemonte, not
Tuscany!

Here's an old Korbel "business card." This
is thought to be from around 1900!

G.M. Mann Vineyards?
Where are they today?
Who are today's wineries that nobody will recall 25 or 50 years from now???

Rennert, Prosch & Company had offices in New York and San Francisco.
Where are they today???

You have got to give Gundlach Bundschu some credit! They're in business

The "Tubbs Wine Cellar" is still standing. It is called
"Chateau Montelena" and is located on Tubbs Lane in Calistoga.

vines?

We don't know what varietal they were selling, but we know they're grapes!

I'll bet they were proud out in Dinuba!

Goehring Brand Tokays.

How about a can of Muscat Grapes?

Here's a politically incorrect, old fruit bin label! We are periodically
asked for "Red Zinfandel," since some consumers only know Zinfandel as
"White Zinfandel."
I hadn't ever heard of "Black Zinfandel" until now!
Thanks to Maurice Jones for sending this curiosity to us!

I don't know what varieties went into the Engels & Krudwig winery's
"Gypsy Queen" wine, but I'm sure this was a 90-pointer on everybody's
100 scale!
A gentleman found this lovely label, obviously a "private label" for
some wine company in New Mexico back in the day....

NOVITIATE
Was an old winery in Los Gatos run by the Jesuits.
They sold wine for some years, but finally packed it in and the facility today
is the home of the Jensen's Testarossa Winery.

In
the early 1970s, we had these posters in the shop...
