EVA & MATTHIAS FEST
California Style
After a week in Europe, I arrived home a
couple of hours ahead of the honeymooners, whose wedding I'd just attended in
Germany.
They were on their way to Hawaii and had a couple of days here in San Francisco.
I immediately went grocery shopping to put together a small feast.
Paul & Sandy Obester picked up Eva and Matthias at SFO and so we were ready
for a "Welcome Margarita" at Hola! on the Avenue.
Paul Obester poured the Schramsberg Blanc de Noirs.
Then we had crab cakes...
Paul carves and presents the Prime Rib Roast.
Oven-Roasted Potatoes and Snap Peas & Portabellas.
Eva was enthralled by the wine and its label.
Matthias also enjoyed the salad.

The next morning they found themselves in San Francisco for
a Bay Cruise and some tourism...
And before sunset, they were at Jonathan & Lucy's...
Filoli in Woodside.
Henry poured some Frog's Leap Ros.
Nobody out here in the garden...
"Just us chickens."
Jonathan even grows hops for his beer making!
Time to celebrate someone's birthday...
Not too many candles...Matthias, after all, is not (yet) and Alte Babsack.
